A great new choice

This has been a particularly hot and oppressive summer. I jumped at the chance when I learned my favorite jeans, the 511, is now available in a lighter linen and denim blend. Wow! So glad I had this option and so glad I bought them.

The light wash is smaller than the black. The waist, thighs, and calves are a bit smaller. Fortunately, they stretch a bit, which is a bit disappointing for Levi's Premium. FYI, I also have a cool jean, but the lightweight is a bit thinner than the cool jean. So it's better suited for summer. Overall, the lightweight is smaller than the cool jean.

Feel like 10-yr old Levi's after the first wear.

I had 31/32 in the regular 511s that I liked, but they were a bit warm for the Florida summers. These are lighter and after a couple hours of wear, they feel so soft and broken in. They remind me of an old pair that I had for many years with the light, slightly loose but still close to the body cut. Very comfortable. I got a 32/32 and a 31/32. At first I kept the 32w but after wearing once or twice, they were almost too loose feeling. The 31w pair fit slightly more snug initially, but after a couple hours of wear, they are perfect. So I could order the same 31/32 size I had in the 100% cotton ones.
