I remember the Nick Kamen advert from the 80's, saving up and buying my first pair of 501's. Overtime, as you do, you buy other labels. After all you should always keep an open mind. Try new things. Yeah that advise works for some things, but we aren’t tasting new cuisine with a new restaurant, upcoming chief or at some holiday destination here. Maybe you, like the rest of us, slipped into the boiling cauldron of life. Balancing your available waking hours with worries and focused attention on raising your family and perusing those career goals. Time is precious right? Well here’s a new flash, your mental state is even more precious. The next time your out taking the family or loved one on a shopping trip. Think about you. Revisit your younger self that was much more prone to selfishness. The young man that bought himself things purely because it made him feel good. “Your worth it” great slogan but not just for Women. Levi’s are the leaders in this market, not just for memorable adverts, they are, in this writers opinion, the market leaders for a reason. Allow me to offer you that reason here in four words. Ruggedly wearable, affordable quality. I have over time tried their competitors. But lets face it, they are simply making attempts to copy what Levi’s do. These attempts in some cases, are so badly off track they might as well covert their businesses to manufacturing chocolate fireguards. (Those are the fences we put around the fire place to stop sparks shooting onto the rug, for those too young to know life without central heating) Yes, I am that old. With age, they say, can come wisdom and mine has told me that a couple of the many tricks to a life worth living is “don’t fix that which is not broken” and stay with “who do it best”. I feel the title of my review explains the uplifting comments that help with the mental stability. After all, We all don’t want our bum to look big in this.
