Hole after 6 months

Love these jeans, good fit and feels good to wear.
But I specifically bought Levis' because they claim their jeans is made to last - I used to buy cheap jeans that all broke after 6 months or less, I thought these would last me at least a few years. But alas, after only 6 months they too have been worn through in the crotch - so why pay so much more?!
