These are my first pair of Japanese selvage denim, and I’m very happy to finally add a pair to my collection. The quality is excellent, and the deep, rich blue color looks incredible. Just be aware that these run extremely small compared to typical Levi’s jeans. I actually had to reorder them three different times to get the right size. The website also didn’t clearly advertise them as shrink-to-fit, so the sizing and expected shrinkage caught me off guard. Overall, I’m very happy with them and can’t wait to watch them fade and age beautifully over time.

Absolutely worth it. I ordered last W31xL32. I am so lucky :) Before ordering, I tried on the regular 501 Original Fit in-store and ended up buying the Blue Tab 1980s 501 in the exact same size. The fit is absolutely perfect. The silhouette is beautiful and gorgeous and the fabric quality immediately stands out. It feels premium, comfortable, and keeps making me want to wear them. Out of every pair of jeans I’ve owned, these are by far my favorite. I almost didn’t buy them because I read that this fit doesn’t suit most Asian body types. However, if you’re on the taller side, the cut creates a longer-leg look and fits incredibly well. It definitely does for me. The denim has enough substance to feel premium, but it isn’t so heavy that it’s uncomfortable in the summer. It’s the perfect balance between durability and comfort. To me, this is the line that truly represents what a classic pair of Levis jeans should be.

This jean is spot on! It’s a stunning repro of the kind of Levi’s I used back in the 80s, but with better finishing and materials. Really blown away by those. These jeans pack everything nice from that era (high rise, perfect thigh space, straight leg but not baggy). Not a deal breaker but if the wash was more like a real vintage wash (they do it in "cheaper” selvedge lines) these jeans would be a dream come true. Anyway, they’re almost the real thing we use to love in our teenage years and without the hassle of buying vintage pairs… My favorite pair so far.

Where do I start? Sure, they’re not the heaviest jeans you’ll own. They’re not from a renowned Japanese brand. That is okay, because these are the blueprint. The fit is unlike any other pair of MIJ denim I’ve ever purchased, the color isn’t quite raw, but it’s a beautiful dark indigo. The contrast stitching, the leather patch, the button fly. There are so many small details about these Jeans that just set it apart. They’re so versatile as well. I intentionally got a few extra inches longer on the inseam, for extra stacking and cuffing options.

I’ve usually only worn designer jeans but I’m honestly blown away by these. The weight and texture of the Japanese selvedge give them such a premium feel, and the cut is just spot on. They fit perfectly and feel better every time I put them on. Definitely a top tier addition to my wardrobe.

Exceptional quality, the Japanese selvedge denim is outstanding, superb colour, textured, and built to last forever. Timeless 501 cut looks perfect. I’m 6’0” (184 cm) and 212 lbs (96 kg). Bought size 36/32, not too tight at all, surprisingly comfortable and roomy. Size guide suggested 42 for me, so these run quite big. Best tip: prioritise seat measurements over waist for this pair. Highly recommend!
