I'm a lady, but love the fit of men's 501s. I have 4 women's pairs and this my 2nd men's pair. I've only bought selvedge in men's. I bought women's 31x32 in the stretch black sprout and these in 33x34. I fell in love with the dark blue/black instead of red and black instead of brown tag. The cuff is also beautiful. So I researched for HOURS on how best to shrink to fit. They were 1 to 2" too long and had a teeny waist gap. I soaked in cold water for 1.25 hrs. Did the Levi towel sandwich and am currently wearing them to dry. They are perfect and I'm so pleased I took a chance.

These are great selvedge black jeans. Shrink to fit! If you’re a 32x32 size up to 34x34. I like to soak 3-5 hours in 2 cups of vinegar in cold water so soften them up. Do not dry on medium. Tumble dry low for 20 mins then warm iron. Don’t wash for 50+ wears after that. Enjoy!

Very durable high quality materials used in the jeans

These are amazing heavyweight jeans and have a highrise and are pretty roomy in the seat. I also echo the cautions other buyers have shared. I bought true to size and after a couple wears they were a tad too loose. I gave them a soak and they shrunk similar to levi's shrink-to-fit denim. Since I thought they were sanfornized, I used luke warm water (big mistake). The most dramatic part of the shrinking came from the length. It shrunk about 2", the waist 1", and the beautiful highwaist turned into a regular "at the waist". Had I known, I would have used very cold water and I think I would have been ok. I really wish these had more stock so I could buy the right size, they are honestly perfect and should be a staple in everyone's wardrobe. Basically, the perfect pair of black jeans, I just wish the description on the website and tags made all this more obvious. Despite the lack of instructions, the product itself is a 5 star. My opinion for sizing - If you will never soak/wash, buy a half size down and true length (I wish I would have done this). If you are going to soak, buy a half size up and extra 2" on the length. If you will be soaking, always start very cold! You can always soak again and increase the temp/soak time. Once the cotton fibers tighten, they will not stretch at all.

Excellent jeans, great quality and finish. Colour is also very cool. These are SHRINK TO FIT so be careful with sizing.
