Our source material is our own archive and our inspiration is the hardworking men and women that the Levi’s® Brand has equipped since 1853.

-

These pieces carry more than Levi’s® spirited history – they honour the workers and trailblazers who shaped modern workwear and the culture surrounding it.

THROUGH THE DECADES

Each piece begins in the Levi’s® archive. From the fabric weight and stitching to pocket placement and fit, each detail is studied and faithfully recreated to match the original design.

1954 501® JEANS

Originally released as the "501® Z", we worked with a Japanese artisan mill to painstakingly recreate 1950s Levi’s® selvedge denim. Every elemt of the design helps tell the story of the 501®, illustrating its evolution through the decades.

1936 TYPE I JACKET

Considered the unofficial uniform of the working man in 1936, this jacket stays true to the original with a double pleated front, single chest pocket, exposed copper rivets and copper-pronged cinch back.

BAY MEADOWS SWEATSHIRT

This sweatshirt is an exact replica of one of our 1940s archival garments. It draws inspiration from the environmental movement that took hold of young Americans in the late ‘60s and eventually culminated in the first-ever Earth Day in 1970.
