About this Style
Our Barrel Jeans were inspired by folks who wear super oversized vintage 501® Original jeans, cinching the waist like a paper bag and in turn creating an exaggerated "barrel" shaped leg. What that means for you: these Barrel Jeans were constructed with a relaxed, looser fit and a slight taper, then cropped at the ankle. The overall effect is a bold, slightly curvy shape.

Nice but too big

I like the design but the size is too big for me. Asian woman here! I usually have size 27 nonstretch in Levi’s. I shoud’ve downsized it to 26. I returned it to the outlet though and reorder size 26.

A little big in the waist but took my normal size(28) and they are bagging out nicely, super comfy, love the shape and made in Japan! I can tell they are just gonna get better with age.

Great fit! Love the cropped leg, roomy in the seat which is RARE in 100% cotton. Great for a girl with a backside. I am 5’6” 145lb. Hourglass shape. I’ve worn them everyday since getting them. They are beautiful - the color the fabric weight. I want more!!!

Great 100% cotton denim material; not too balloon-y. I'm not sure of the Made in Japan mystique, but I'm a petite older Asian woman and sizing down from a 6 to a 4 is the perfect fit. Everything fits waist-size, hip-size and thigh-size; since I'm 4'11", it doesn't seem too cropped. I purchased on sale with no returns, and for once, no regrets on rolling the dice on this purchase!

I own the Barrel jeans in 3 different colors - the Moj dark rinse (Made in China w/ Japanese fabric), the Kumo light rinse (Made in Japan), and the Mij Sengai Medium (Made in Japan). All three are fantastic in their own way. The dark rinse has a workwear feel, the light rinse is more street/summer, and the medium has a 90's vibe. You do have to know how to style them in order to avoid looking like mom jeans, but they can really strike an interesting silhouette. I've also tried different sizes. What worked well for me was ordering the same size as my Wedgie size, or one size down. Two sizes down was too small.

My new favorite jeans

I rarely am compelled to write reviews but these fit so perfectly. I’m 5’4”, 41 years old. Had my first baby 11 months ago, and none of my pants fit. When I read the other reviews saying these ran big, I took a chance and bought my normal size. They hold me in without feeling uncomfortable and the denim quality is great! So happy with this purchase.
