I’ve been buying variations of 501s for nearly 40 years. Every 5 years or so it’s always amusing to see how the classic straight leg “is back”. Meh. This look is ALWAYS “back”. It’s effortless..good design, quality material, human-centred (comfortable in lots of scenarios and weather yet stylish), you can dress it up, dress it down. There’s a reason they stay in fashion. It’s because they just work. Trust the punters, not the marketing…(and me, obvs!). Always worth the investment…

I find the 501s with no stretch are best for short distance cycling. The stretchy versions tends to wear through in the crotch area.
