505s _had_ been some of the best fitting most classic ever. Without any notice, 505s have changed and simply ain't what they used to be.
The rise seems to have been lowered 1-2 in and they sit HORRIBLY compared to true 505s of the past. That also extends the length lower for the same quoted length. If Levi's wants a 'hipper' low-rise jean, fine, but don't try to re-purpose the known brand and style to go there.
The writeup still claims they sit at the waist, but the latest incarnation definitely does not sit Classic with better fit
Classic yet seems more contemporary. Not too baggy or skinny. A normal guy Jean.

rwlitz got three pair of 505 31-30 jeans...all three were marked 31-30... one pair was miss marked..i could not button them...took them to the store here and they replaced them
