“Boxier fit” is code for “this is straight up one size larger than the tag says.” I laid this out over a levi denim jacket i have that is one size up (for layering reasons) and they are basically the same size.

Sunrise trucker jacket
I like this jacket a lot. It's as described, boxy fit and relaxed fit. I downsized my order. I have very broad shoulders and a smaller waist. Fit is great. Usually I order XXL mainly due to my shoulder width, I ordered an XL.
