Cute but do I need ro cut the sewn in pleats?

This is a super cute high quality skirt. I’m larger in the bum area and so I knew a line would be most flattering however the pleats are sewn in and it does kind of bubble instead of an a line . I read that someone else cut the sews but is that what I’m supposed to do? I wanted to try it but also afraid to ruin it if I do that. Otherwise I may just have to return due to it just not flattering me

I bought this skirt because the style is irresistible IMO. The quality is perfect too! The skirt is so well made I actually think it could last for 100 years. P.S. I bought the skirt extra large so I could slide the waistband all the way down onto my lower hip bones. This makes the skirt "long enough" for me.

I’m a bigger booty girl (5’2”, 135lbs) and this skirt is awesome! I got a size 27. It may be like 1” shorter than I’m comfy with but I’m going to rock it anyways. feels like nice quality, I love Levi’s!

I wanted to love this so bad, but on my body it was just terribly unflattering. The pleats were all stitched together so they formed a bubble shape vs an Aline. I snipped the pleats to help and it did create a more Aline look but then realized fast that my butt is just too big and makes the skirt too short. I’m 6 months PP, working to lose the weight still, so maybe when I meet my goal I can hem the waist and it will cover my butt
