That’s selvedge, or “self-edge.” It tells you that this pair of jeans was woven on a traditional narrow-width shuttle loom (instead of a giant industrial one), which results in a dense stitch, a finished outseam. and subtle natural variations in the fabric, making these jeans highly covetable.

They’re just okay.
These pants fit pretty tight, which is normal for this style I’m assuming but I went skateboarding and these pants did not bend well and react to my body well. They are tight at the hips and thighs and they are also not that soft.
