I'm 5'10, 145 lbs, and ordered a 29. The fit in the waist but are a bit tight in the thighs. I'll still wear them but wish I had gotten a 30 just for more breathing room.

Perfect length for shorts as an older lady. Cut offs but not too distressed to be tasteful. I wear mine with a floral button down and pearls for a beachy ladies who lunch look. Not lunching at the ritz. Maybe at the pool grill.
