True to size, no stretch. I got one size down because I wanted them to be snug, and boy were they snug. Looked great but I had to return. Definitely true to size, size up if you want more loose, get your normal size for more fitted. While I could button the waist my hips were too tight. For reference I have 29” waist, 40” hips. I ordered a 28” that did its best lol
