Just as advertised! Loved them. 31in inseam. Rise is high, aprox 1 inch above natural waist line. There is no elastane. 100% cotton, thick fabric, like in the 70s. I wear size 4 pant, need 28 inch waist in this jean. Only 27 inch waist was available so I risked it. --tight but I was able to wear it. There is a slight loosening after wearing a few times. They look very good on.

No gapping

I love love love these jeans! There is no gapping in the waist and doesn’t flatten my butt at the same time! I don’t even need to wear a belt with these unlike 90% of the other jeans I have. I will be buying in more colors! These fit true to size and I’m glad I didn’t size down in this color.

Really Good

Length is pretty long but was pretty ok after shrinking it in the wash. Fits well around the hips and waist. Looks a little bit boxy on me considering the length almost reaches the ground. Otherwise not bad and a nice color.

‘70s style jeans for women’s bodies today?
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the ‘60s-’90s era of clothing much better than what it is today. With that said, these are advertised ‘70s high-rise jeans, and it's more than just a look when Levi’s “recreates” these jeans. Is this revival a ruse, because women's bodies TODAY, don't represent the women's bodies of the ’70s. Generally speaking, they were mostly lean back then and didn't have an obesity problem as we do today; curves are different, so that’s not what I’m referring to. Did Levi’s remake these jeans using the ‘70s cut and style, or is it made for today's fit?
Neither style is wrong, but maybe the fit/cut wouldn't disappoint so many people if the description was more clear. As a curvy girl myself, it’s ok to have designs created for lean girls, but just say so. Every fit is not going to be cookie cutter perfect for everyone. Anyone else feeling left out about this is allowing their insecurities to do the talking, and that also needs to be checked, but I digress.
