Levis are always great, but I would like to let people know the difference between the 519 and the similar, but more expensive, Skinny Taper - as I didn't know at first, but owning several pairs of each now I can say. The 519 is super-skinny all the way from waist to ankle, and the Hiball ones like these stop slightly shorter at ankle level. They are aimed at the younger market and have more modern styling, with an oversize red tab, bigger leather patch and chunky seam down the inside leg. They stretch a bit but fit best if you are slim, and the shorter length shows off your boots or trainers really nicely. They fit super tight in the morning but relax a little throughout the day. I wear the 519s just on a normal day. The Skinny Taper is more like all the other Levis with the normal size red tab and patch, and are like a tighter 512 but super-skinny on the legs. The denim feels softer and more premium with more stretch, and I find they keep that nice tight feeling from hips all the way through the legs all day, whereas the 519s seem to relax a bit after a while. I am more likely to wear the Skinny Taper on a night out and they look great with boots. Mind you, they are nearly twice the cost of the 519! I hope that helps people!
