About this Style
An homage to the ultimate thrill-seekers of the '50s: bikers. The Levi’s® Vintage Clothing 1955 501® Jean has a distinct “anti-fit” (or, slightly looser cut that stands in opposition to slimmer and skinnier styles) in the seat, as well as slightly fuller cut around the leg and an overall boxier silhouette. This version of the 501® still retains some classic features of its 1947 predecessor: belt loops as the only method of waist adjustment, hidden copper rivets on the back pockets, and a zinc button fly.
We pay tribute to the epitome of American rebellion with these 1955 501® Original jeans—an archival reproduction of their jeans of choice, crafted in premium selvedge denim.

- Wash your jeans once every 10 wears at most; this increases their lifespan and saves natural resources. Machine wash cold. Do not bleach. Tumble dry medium. Hot iron if needed. Do not dry clean. Wash inside out with like colors. Shrinkage in wash approximately 10%

Just received my new pair. These are my favorite jeans! Fit is perfect. I have been wearing 501s for years. The old ones are nicely faded and soft. But it is always good to have new ones when you need a dark pair - perfect for going out.

Endlich mal wieder Jeans die einem nicht die Beine abschnüren oder wo man aussieht wie Lost in den 80ies. Gott sei Dank ist diese, "es gibt nur Slim-Fit oder Tapered Jeans"-Seuche überstanden. Meine erste Jeans seit 10 Jahren wieder - da kann man sich was gönnen.

Fit is just right. I ordered two sizes up from my normal size. It may shrink a little. But jeans are comfortable right out the box. Reminds of how Levi’s used to feel and look when they were made in USA. This is about my fourth pair of Levi Vintage series, I get 4-5 years out of pair by following the instruction. Best advice: Do not wash after wear all the time! Must have been why all my jeans lasted a year at most back when I was younger and did not know better.
