Order cancelled by Levi’s, poor inventory mgmt?

Super disappointed because I bought this on sale and never received the item. I got an email nearly a week after ordering notifying a delay and then a few days after saying that the order was cancelled by Levi’s due to not being able to fulfill the order. I think it was likely due to poor inventory management. I have one of this shirt I bought in-store earlier this year and I was so excited to see that it was on sale and in my size so I bought it hoping that I’d be able to get a second one just in case I managed to stain my current one, but sadly this is now impossible. What’s even more frustrating is that Levi’s system automatically sends me this email to review my purchase despite them cancelling it. Poor customer experience in this instance for someone that was really excited to get a favorite item on sale.
