No stretch is the best! These are built to last. Which I miss so much. I remember the day when our blue jeans fit so well. Even the baggy ones worked. They didn't have elastic in them, and therefore they kept you warm against the wind and cool when it was warm. You give them a light starch and these things will repel dirt like you won't believe. You can't do this or get this with jeans that have so much elastic and latex in them. Plus it's really easy to tell if you're gaining a couple of pounds before it gets out of hand. If your jeans grow with you, you're going to get pretty surprised when you look at yourself in the mirror sideways. Lol do yourself a favor, and save your waistline while wearing awesome jeans that hold up the test of time. These things were rarely shred unless you abuse them. Unlike jeans with a lot of elastic and latex, where the cold blows through you, and they shred – all the while fitting really well in the beginning, an hour later slouching down towards your knees. Lol
