My husband loves the fit and color of these! An excellent find. The wash is more of a medium blue rather than a dark blue, but we have no complaints, as it is still a great color. They have great stretch and the comfort surpasses even how happy we are with the stretch in these jeans. The price is excellent as well!

Perfect Fit

First let me say that these are absolutely the best fitting jeans I've ever owned! But... (yes, there is a but) they are extremely hard to find in stores. I've looked in 10 stores that carry Levis within an hour of where I live and have only found a couple of pairs in my size: 31/30. Also, the zipper failed after a few wearings so I had to have a tailor put in a new one. Attention, Levis - stock more 512s in the stores!

Inferior denim or bad dye job

Although the fit was fine, after one washing (cold water, cool dry cycle) the jeans had this white fuzzy appearance. I have lots of 511 and 510 jeans, all in black, and never seen this. It's only on the 512. I don't know why they now have this "acid washed" appearance.

The pictures don't match the jeans, these are very skinny jeans. The order took entirely too long to ship, it originated in KY and was going to Nashville. Now I have to return them locally which seems backwards.

NO RED LEVIS TAB

The Standing Ovation wash does NOT have a red Levi's tab on the pocket even though every image of the back shows a red Levi's tab. Despite this not being MY screw up they still won't let me exchange them for a pair that is as pictured.
