Staff Picks: Winter Wear

The holidays are done and everyone else’s gifts are given. Now it’s time to treat yourself. And what better way to do so than with some new winter gear.

We asked two employees at our San Francisco headquarters what’s currently in their Levi’s® carts — for themselves, of course! From vintage-inspired looks to soft Sherpa jackets, our winter collection is ready to keep you warm and cozy.

THE OVERSIZED TRUCKER

“This denim jacket made its rounds at Levi’s Plaza, but that doesn’t make me want it any less. I love the oversized fit and the detachable faux fur collar, making this jacket cooler and more versatile than your average trucker.”

THE RIBCAGE JEAN

“Chicago winters are many things, but forgiving is not one of them. Actively avoiding ripped jeans for six months out of the year is an exercise in futility, but now, I can wear them without the impending fear of frostbite. I can see myself pairing these with an oversized knit sweater and a pair of statement boots — easy and effortless enough for work or weekends.”

THE ULTIMATE WESTERN SHIRT

“My closet is embarrassingly dominated by black, and yet, there seems to be no end in sight to my obsession. I especially love this western shirt. There’s just something so chic about a structured shirt tucked into high-waisted jeans. It convinces others that your well-calculated sartorial decisions are actually the makings of effortless style.”

THE NATIVE ARAN SWEATER

“Sometimes, you stumble across something that feels so necessary to your very being, you wonder how you can go on existing without it. While that may sound mildly (okay… majorly) dramatic, I can’t help but feel that way about this sweater. I love that it’s chunky without sacrificing its silhouette, managing to strike the perfect balance between timelessness and current trends. A total investment piece, but totally worth it in my opinion.”

Paul, our Lead Digital Designer, loves to stay comfy and snug during the cold season. He values pieces that are easy mix and match without much fuss. Lucky for him, San Francisco’s climate means these easygoing and vintage-inspired looks will keep him warm during this winter season. Here’s some styles he’s been keeping tabs on in the new year:

1950's SPORTSWEAR TEE

“I’m a huge fan of vintage-inspired clothing and this tee has a real authentic look and feel. It’s also very soft and comfortable to wear! While the white color would be my pick, any color it comes in could easily become a new wardrobe staple.”

HOMERUN CHINOS

“The relaxed look of these chinos falls right into my style for the winter — easy to throw on and go for the whole workday or a night out while still prioritizing comfort. It’s also a good change of pace from denim.”

BAY MEADOWS SWEATSHIRT

“It’s a simple yet classic piece that could be worn for many winters to come, or even transition into the brisker Spring days. The oatmeal color got my attention on this style!”

1940's PARKA JACKET

“The heavy cotton and leather clasps are definitely a good look. I can see this jacket keeping me nice and cozy while I travel around the city this winter season.”
