Last year, Levi’s® Wellthread™ partnered with our friends at Outerknown — world champion surfer Kelly Slater and menswear designer John Moore— to create a limited-edition collection driven by innovative design and rooted in sustainability.
This year, the Levi’s® Wellthread™ x Outerknown collaboration is back with a lineup of shirts, jeans and jackets that use as much recycled and recyclable materials as possible, all while ensuring both durability and comfort.
When Kelly and John launched Outerknown in 2014, the old way of making jeans wasn’t working with their modern sustainability mindset. Around the same time, Levi’s® Wellthread™ was revolutionizing the way we make denim by using Water<less™ dyeing technology, which uses up to 70% less water compared with conventional indigo dying. It was only natural that the two brands come together to work toward our shared mission: bridging the gap between style and sustainability.
From a quilted Trucker Jacket to our 511™ Slim-Fit Jeans, everything is made using organic or recycled materials. And not only is each piece designed with waste reduction in mind, they’re also made to be fully recyclable post use.
It’s a collaboration that comes down to one simple phrase: When given a choice, do the right thing.
