If you’re into men’s streetwear and fashion and you don’t know who Josh Peskowitz is, you’re not paying attention. The current owner of L.A.’s exclusive menswear store, Magasin, and former Bloomingdale’s Fashion Director, Peskowitz is a true innovator.
We teamed up with Peskowitz to create his first range of progressive silhouettes, combing relaxed tailoring, innovative details and Japanese fabrics.
We worked closely to reimagine existing Made & Crafted® fits and make every garment work together effortlessly.
“I created a capsule collection where each piece may be paired with denim or work well together,” says Peskowitz. “Working with artisanal — but not antiquated — fabrics from Japan elevates the pieces and gives them a character that only gets better with age, just like a pair of Levi’s® jeans.”
The Spring/Summer 2018 limited-edition collection includes four different styles, including a woven tee, short jacket, long chore coat and wide crop pants.
“The LMC X Josh Peskowitz collaboration blends Josh’s unique aesthetic with the Made & Crafted® love of detail and elevated casual style,” says Nicolas Rendic, Levi’s® Collections Global Design Director. “Each piece is made with Japanese fabrics embellished with subtle embroidery, which unify the collection. We worked closely to reimagine existing Made & Crafted® fits and make every garment work together effortlessly.”
This chore coat is constructed from Japanese indigo-dyed cotton in a herringbone weave. For visual contrast, it’s offset with striped fabric on the front patch pockets for a subtle blue-on-blue impression and finished with Corozo button closures.
Made of a blend of Japanese cotton and tencel — a sustainable fabric regenerated from wood cellulose — this lightweight jacket includes snap closures, slant pockets and waist adjusters.
These pants sit with a relaxed, wide-leg fit and feature intricate orange embroidery and side-slant pockets. Constructed with a cotton and tencel blend, the pants pair with the short jacket for a casual, modern interpretation of the traditional suit.
The 100% Japanese lightweight cotton tee features an open neckline, oversized fit and rounded hem that sits lower in the back, delivering a unique accent at the waistline.
Ranging from $198-$498, the collection will be available on Levi.com and other select retailers in February 2018.
