vintage-inspired fit that takes style cues from our very first preshrunk, zip-fly jean (launched way back in ’61). Now, we’re taking it one step further—well, technically shorter—with our 551™ Z Authentic Straight Cropped. That means you now have the tough decision of picking out which one’s for you. Before you jump to any conclusions, let’s do a quick comparison, shall we? ### LAAT HET LANG De 551™ Z Authentic Straight heeft een wat lossere anti-fit met rechte pijpen en dat zorgt voor een gestapeld effect bij de enkel. Het model en de styling van deze jeans komen rechtstreeks uit onze archieven. Bij deze versie hebben we de binnenbeenlengte ingekort tot 71 cm voor meer stijlvariatie. We hebben een expert om meer advies gevraagd. “Het is eigenlijk meer een alternatieve optie voor lengte,” zegt Janine Chilton-Faust, onze vicevoorzitter voor herenontwerpen. “De keuze die je moet maken, komt hierop neer: ga je voor het gelaagde effect van langere pijpen of draag je je jeans liever korter en wil je je schoenen laten zien?” Hoge schoenen onder een kortere jeans is een makkelijke manier om er cool uit te zien en iets meer van je persoonlijke stijl te laten zien.  We hebben ook model Myles Huff (die hier de kortere versie van onze Z draagt) gevraagd waar hij naar kijkt bij het kiezen van denim. “Als je je goed voelt in een jeans, dan moet je hem dragen, wat voor pasvorm of model het ook is”, zegt hij. “Zolang je maar zelfvertrouwen uitstraalt, zie je er altijd goed uit, wat je ook draagt.” ### DENK OOK AAN… Het milieu. Kort of lang, onze 551™ Z-modellen zijn gemaakt met de planeet in gedachten. De materialen van dit seizoen zijn o.a. hennepvezels zo zacht als katoen en een mix van katoen en hennep. Om hennep te laten groeien, zijn namelijk minder water en pesticiden nodig. Zo kun jij genieten van superzacht denim dat beter is voor het milieu.
