[__Stijl__](https://www.levi.com/NL/nl_NL/blog/category/styled-by-levis) /  september 2021 Share  ## SHERPAJACKS IN DE SPOTLIGHT Als je warm wilt blijven en er toch cool uit wilt zien, gaat er niets boven een sherpajack. We zijn dol op sherpajacks in alle soorten en maten, van het Original Sherpa Truckerjack tot de All-Over Sherpa, een jack dat van binnen en van buiten helemaal bedekt is met donzige zachte nepschapenvacht. Maar laten we beginnen bij het begin: wat is sherpa en wat maakt het zo speciaal? __Wat is sherpa?__ In de koudere maanden kun je er niet omheen: jacks en jassen met uitpuilende wollige krulletjes. Die warme, donzige voering noemen we sherpa. Een sherpajack heeft het echt allemaal: een beschermende buitenlaag (denim, corduroy, noem naar op), een knoopsluiting aan de voorkant, genoeg zakken en een warme, superzachte voering. Het sherpajack is een geweldige extra laag voor als de temperatuur begint te dalen. Sherpajacks houden je warm, maar draven niet te ver door op het gebied van weersbestendige functionaliteit. Perfect voor het tussenseizoen. . __Waar zijn sherpajacks van gemaakt?__ Oorspronkelijk werden ze gemaakt van schapenwol. Onze gemoderniseerde versies zijn gemaakt van lichtgewicht katoen of gerecycled polyester. Ons hoogpolige sherpamateriaal dankt zijn geliefde textuur aan kleine, pluizige fleece-accenten. Deze moderne sherpavoering is veel lichter om te dragen, ziet er minder fors uit en droogt veel sneller dan de oorspronkelijke versie. Het is net dat extra laagje dat je nodig hebt om de koudere maanden door te komen.  __Wanneer werd het sherpajack uitgevonden?__ Levi Strauss & Co. introduceerde al in 1943 jacks met dekenvoering voor kouder weer. Twintig jaar later, in 1963, brachten we jacks gevoerd met ‘fleece’ of ‘orlon fleece’ op de markt. Zo werd het materiaal genoemd voordat de term ‘sherpa’ werd aangenomen. Sinds de jaren 60 zijn Truckerjacks gevoerd met sherpa niet meer weg te denken uit de kledinglijn van Levi's®, van denim tot corduroy tot suède. __Waar staat een sherpajack goed bij?__ Toptip: je kunt een sherpajack dragen als een jeansjack … het past overal bij. Je sherpajack houdt je heerlijk warm en maakt iedere outfit cooler. Zie het als een draagbaar nestje waar je altijd in kunt wegkruipen. Voor wat betreft de pasvorm hebben we ook genoeg opties. Heb je liever een jack dat nauw aansluit op je lichaam, kies dan je eigen maat. Geef je de voorkeur aan gelaagde looks, kies dan een maat groter voor een relaxte uitstraling met genoeg ruimte om er een hemd, thermoshirt en flanellen hemd onder te dragen. Van dit jack krijg je zeker een warmer gevoel dan van die andere ex. Het relaxte silhouet hebben we afgekeken van de jongens en de voering met de zachte textuur van sherpamateriaal biedt alle comfort en warmte waar je behoefte aan hebt. Dus verwijder zijn nummer maar uit te telefoon. Je zult als een blok vallen voor de iets verlaagde schouders en de langere mouwen en zoom, die net onder de heup valt.
