door het Amsterdamse Atelier Reservé een exclusieve, frisse collectie van limited-edition, opnieuw ontworpen klassiekers. Onder de naam Handmade brengt deze collectie - die bestaat uit opnieuw ontworpen Levi's® klassiekers zoals een witte Levi's 501® en een ecru chore jas - een ode aan de Japanse kunst van de perfecte imperfectie en viert ze vakmanschap, kwaliteitsmaterialen en tijdloze kledingstukken. Deze Japanse filosofie van wabi-sabi sluit perfect aan bij de nieuwe beperkte Levi's®-collectie van het Amsterdamse merk Atelier Reservé. Onder de naam Handmade viert de zomercollectie, die bestaat uit opnieuw gedefinieerde Levi's®-klassiekers zoals een witte 501® en een ecru chore jas, vakmanschap, kwaliteitsmaterialen en tijdloze kledingstukken. ### Bijzondere schoonheid Misschien nog belangrijker is het feit dat de collectie een ode brengt aan uniekheid en dragers aanmoedigt hun eigen persoonlijkheid en stijl te omarmen. Daarom is Nederlands-Surinaams model Gia Bab de perfecte persoon om de collectie in de kijker te zetten. Met haar eigenzinnige schoonheid, gedurfde zelfvertrouwen, statement tatoeages en speelse stijl, is ze de ultieme inspiratie dat je alles kunt zijn, doen en dragen wat je wilt.  Gefotografeerd in Le Marais in Parijs, een favoriete inspiratiebron van het Atelier Reservé team, laat Gia zien hoe je de unieke, geslachtsloze kledingstukken kunt dragen en combineren, van dichtgeknoopt en getailleerd tot opengeknoopt en oversized. De maten voor deze gender inclusieve collectie variëren van 28-36 taille en 32 lengte voor jeans en S-XL voor de tops. [](https://www.levi.com/NL/nl_NL/p/A41720000) ### Perfect imperfections Sinds het begin van hun merk in 2016 gebruiken beeldend kunstenaar Alljan Moehamad en ontwerper Deyrinio Fraenk oude voorraad en vintage Levi's® om nieuwe kledingstukken te maken in hun kenmerkende stijl, met Japanse verwijzingen en tatoeagekunst-achtige typografie. Daarom is een samenwerking met Levi's® voor het merk volkomen logisch, zegt Moehamad.  "Er is gewoon iets aan de kwaliteit van de stoffen en de vormgeving dat de kledingstukken van Levi's® voor ons ideaal maakt om te gebruiken. Ze hebben een duurzaamheid en een natuurlijk verouderingsproces waar we van houden en dat we nodig hebben. In vergelijking daarmee zouden we nooit kunnen doen wat we doen met tweedehands fast-fashion producten van slechte kwaliteit." Voor deze Handmade-collectie voegde het ontwerpteam op speelse wijze patches van bestaande en deadstock stoffen toe aan witte 501s®, stonewashed trucker jackets, ecru chore jassen en klassieke witte tees.  Ze plaatsten ook opzettelijk verfvlekken op de kledingstukken, wat een knipoog is naar het handgemaakte productieproces dat in de kledingindustrie gebruikt wordt. "Mensen beseffen vaak niet dat alle kleding nog steeds door mensen gemaakt wordt," legt Fraenk uit. "Het is niet een kwestie van gewoon een knop op een machine indrukken. De twee 'Reserveboys' achter het merk, beeldend kunstenaar Alljan Moehamad & ontwerper Deyrinio Fraenk, zijn erop gericht oude voorraadstoffen, gebruikte materialen en vintage kledingstukken weer tot leven te brengen. Herontwerpen en heruitvinden van een combinatie van oud en nieuw vermengd in een uniek kledingstuk met sterke Japanse verwijzingen.  Zonder het duurzame en organische karakter ervan expliciet te benadrukken, geeft Atelier Reservé een authentieke toets aan kwaliteitskleding die op natuurlijke wijze ontstaat door de dagelijkse slijtage.
