Bijna net zo lang als er spijkerbroeken zijn geweest, zijn er ook korte spijkerbroeken geweest. Hoewel hun geschiedenis op zijn best duister is, was het toch niet zo'n grote sprong om van het een op het ander over te stappen. Stel je iemand voor van lang geleden, misschien bedroefd over een favoriete 501® jeans die betere tijden had gekend. Toevallig wierp hij uit een ooghoek een blik op een schaar en, boem, een revolutie begon. Cutoffs zijn tegenwoordig maar een van de vele verschijningsvormen van denim korte broeken. We kunnen het weten, want Levi's® begon met het hele jeansgebeuren in 19e eeuw - en we zijn er niet mee opgehouden. Onze nieuwe denim shorts blijven de erfenis van de iconische 501® jeans uitbreiden en maken tegelijk plaats voor een populaire nieuwkomer, de High Loose Shorts. Neem een kijkje. ### Pasvormen voor mannen worden klassiek en nostalgisch In zekere zin vloeit alles wat we bij Levi's® doen voort uit de 501® jeans waarmee het allemaal begon. In sommige gevallen is de link directer dan in andere, zoals bij de twee nieuwe 501® shorts voor heren. De 501® Hemmed Shorts bieden de legendarische pasvorm van een klassiek omgezoomde denim short: een normale pasvorm vanwege het zitvlak en de dij met een rechte beenopening. Klassiek op een andere manier zijn de 501® '93 Shorts, die de lossere pasvorm van hun gelijknamige jaar nastreven, en de gerafelde zoom van de oorspronkelijke afgeknipte jeans hebben. - [SHOP HERENSHORTS](https://www.levi.com/NL/nl_NL/clothing/men/shorts/c/levi_clothing_men_shorts)  ### Het stileren van de looks voor de dames Ook aan de vrouwelijke kant breiden we de 501® Short   verder uit met de 501® Mid Thigh Shorts, 501® Original Shorts en de - geheel nieuwe voor dit seizoen - 501® '90s Shorts, die een losse, wijdere pasvorm hebben dan de andere. We stileren ze hier met een mannenbovenstuk, een look die we ook toepassen op onze 501® Original Shorts. "Een grote trend die nu in de damesmode gaande is, zijn deze strakke crop tops en dan daarover iets losjes en groots gelaagd," merkt Levi's® styliste Sharon Maloney op. Een ander groot "nu" item: onze High Loose Shorts, een huidige favoriet waar we niet genoeg van kunnen krijgen. "Dat is erg populair en trending op dit moment," zegt Sharon. "Hij wordt heel hoog op de taille gedragen en heeft een soort A-lijn silhouet. Het is een vrij korte binnenbeenlengte, maar het heeft deze wijdere dij om die A-lijn vorm te helpen creëren. Het voelt als een heel relevant moment, want er is veel aandacht en nadruk op buiten zijn en actief bezig zijn."
