FROM 501® DESIGNED FOR CIRCULARITY TO LEVI'S® 501® NFT
In December 2021, Levi's® released an exclusive version of its new 501® Original made from Circulose®, a sustainably sourced fibre made from organic cotton, recycled denim and designed to be recyclable. Levi’s® 501® NFT are the first Levi’s® jeans warranted* for life by NFT certification.
10 units of this new version were offered in a competition to our customers, to make them last even longer. These jeans are warranted for life and, thanks to the NFT certification technology, can be repaired at the Levi's® Store on the Champs-Elysées in Paris. A device to highlight what has always been the essence of Levi's® jeans: their longevity.
NFT: Non-Fungible Token
The NFT is a technology based on BlockChain that uses computer protocols to encrypt, secure and identify transactions between users. Associated with a digital object, this technology allows its individualization by attributing unforgeable and unique characteristics.
That’s why each of the 10 jeans is accompanied by an NFT representing its digital double: a 3D digitized 501® jeans. The NFT is a digital object that became the property of the winners of this competition.
*The lifetime warranty is valid for 105 years from January 1st, 2022 to January 1st, 2127.
