fortryllende verden, der er skabt af dens skabere, Japans banebrydende Studio Ghibli. Her diskuterer designteamet fra Levi's® deres kreative proces og inspiration. ## BÅDE LEVI’S® OG STUDIO GHIBLI ER BEGGE MEGET DETALJEORIENTEREDE OG IKONISKE PÅ HVER DERES EGEN MÅDE. – Levi's® designteam ### THE CRAFT “Levi's® har en lang historie og et meget ikonisk look – det er det, der har fået os til at skille os ud i mere end 170 år. Og lige fra begyndelsen af, da Studio Ghibli blev grundlagt af bl.a. instruktør Hayao Miyazaki, har de også været ikoniske i deres stil – når du ser en af deres film, ved du, at det er Studio Ghibli. Gennem alle Miyazakis film er hans arbejde med detaljerne uden sidestyle. Håndværket er tydeligt. Og Levi's® har sat standarden superhøjt, hvad tidløshed angår. Både Levi's® og Studio Ghibli er begge meget detaljeorienterede og ikoniske på hver deres egen måde. Vi byggede kollektionen op omkring fejringen af flere ikoniske Levi's® styles – herunder vores 501® '93 jeans, der blev lanceret på omtrent samme tidspunkt, som \*Princess Mononoke* havde premiere. Men vi havde også styles, der lånte fra den japanske æstetik.”  ## \*PRINCESS MONONOKE* HAR HÅNDMALEDE BAGGRUNDE, DER SKILDRER FANTASTISKE NATURSCENER, OG DET VAR NOGET, VI VIRKELIG BLEV INSPIREREDE AF. – Levi's® designteam ### IND I LANDSKABET “Vi har også brugt de smukke, frodige miljøer. \*Princess Mononoke* har håndmalede baggrunde, der skildrer fantastiske naturscener, og det var noget, vi virkelig blev inspirerede af. Det ville vi gerne understrege i vores styles.”    ## LYS DENIMDAG “På vores lyse indigo-denim er hovedfigurerne San og Ashitaka ude i den solbeskinnede dag. På vores San & Wolf Trucker Jacket og Ashitaka 501® '93 jeans (eller til de varme dage, San & Moro 501® shortsene) brugte vi skov- og solbaggrunden fra filmen og integrerede landskabet med denim. Himmelbilledet er faktisk den lyseblå denimvask, der kommer igennem, så det er denne dejlige integration af kunsten og vores denim." ## MØRK DENIMNAT “Der er masser af spil med lys og mørke i filmen – f.eks. Nightwalker, som er en skovånd, der kun kommer frem i løbet af natten eller ved daggry eller skumringstid. Efter råd fra Ghibli-teamet var vi i stand til at bruge deres billede på vores mørkere indigo-styles – Nightwalker kimonojakken i denim og Kodama overalls i denim. Den mørke indigo skaber atmosfæren, hvorfra denne figur dukker op: Nightwalker stiger op i nattehimlen med alle de små Kodama’er, eller træånder, i trætoppene, der stirrer op på dem.”   ## TEMPOET I FORHOLDET MELLEM VORES DENIM OG T-SHIRTS MED GRAFIK EFTERLIGNER FILMENS TEMPO. – Levi's® designteam ### T-SHIRTS OG HÆTTETRØJER MED GRAFIK “Selv om tilgangen til vores denim var atmosfærisk, rykkede vi med vores T-shirts og hættetrøjer med grafik tættere på figurerne ved hjælp af filmens eget sprog for at give en stemme til deres ideologier – som med Ashitakas ord: “At se med øjne, der ikke er formørkede af had.” Disse styles er mere direkte og mere streetwear-inspirerede end dem i denim. Men der er en rytmisk sammenhæng mellem de to. \*Princess Mononoke* har disse smukke, rolige øjeblikke – og så kommer der pludselig en hektisk action-sekvens. Tempoet på vores denimstyles og vores T-shirts med grafik og hættetrøjer efterligner filmens tempo.”  ## SKØNHEDEN FINDES I DE SMÅ TING “Vi ønskede at skabe små øjeblikke fra filmen, som du kunne tage med dig rundt hver eneste dag. På vores bandana – en klassisk, vestamerikansk Levi's® style – har vi Sans mystiske, røde kampmaske, så det føltes som et ægteskab mellem de to. For et sammenhængende look fra top til tå kan Ancient Forest bøllehatten bæres kombineret sammen med vores lyse indigo-denim, men du kan selvfølgelig også bære den sammen med andre styles. En anden måde, hvorpå du kan have \*Princess Mononoke* ved din side – bogstaveligt talt – er at bære vores San & Ashitaka totetaske, med San på den ene side og Ashitaka på den anden. Og vores to punge, den ene med Sans maske og den anden med Kodamas ansigt, kan bæres rundt om halsen eller hænges i en bæltestrop eller på en tote.”     ## VI HÅBER, AT FOLK SER DET SOM LIDT AF ET KÆRLIGHEDSBREV FRA LEVI'S® OG STUDIO GHIBLI. – Levi's® designteam ## FRA OS TIL DIG “Vi forsøgte at skabe øjeblikke i tøjet, der var universelt tilgængelige – som fungerede på æstetisk vis, uanset om du var en tilfældig observatør eller en superfan.
