zou zeggen dat deze collectie nostalgisch, outdoor-geïnspireerd en tijdloos is,” legt de zeer veelzijdige en cafeïne-liefhebbende Emma Chamberlain uit, die nu ontwerpster kan toevoegen aan haar steeds langer wordende cv. In haar vrije tijd, als ze niet bezig is met het opnemen van haar binge-worthy podcast, “anything goes” en het bedenken van nieuwe must-haves voor haar koffie-lifestylemerk, Chamberlain Coffee, heeft Emma een exclusieve collectie relaxte looks ontworpen voor Levi's®.   Als eerbetoon aan het natuurlijke landschap van de staat waar ze vandaan komt, heeft Emma haar energie gestopt in het maken van zes mix-en-match kledingstukken die geïnspireerd zijn op items waar ze van gehouden heeft en waar ze in geleefd heeft. “Ik werd echt geïnspireerd door het feit dat Levi's® en ik allebei uit de buurt van San Francisco komen en ik wilde me richten op wat Noord-Californië zo speciaal maakt,” legt ze uit terwijl ze uitkijkt over een mistige klif. “Alle kledingstukken doen me denken aan dingen waar ik gek op zou worden als ik ze in de kringloopwinkel zou zien. Ik wilde dat ze klassieke silhouetten hadden die je de komende tien jaar zou kunnen dragen en nooit zat zou worden. Ik denk dat al deze kledingstukken op die manier heel tijdloos zijn.”  ## Levi's® gaf me zoveel flexibiliteit en nam eigenlijk mijn wilde ideeën en maakte ze gewoon waar.  Emma Chamberlain is van nature creatief ingesteld, maar toen het op het ontwerpen van de collectie aankwam, werd ze aanvankelijk afgeschrikt door de grenzeloosheid van haar eigen verbeelding. “In het begin was het echt overweldigend omdat ik nog nooit zoveel creatieve vrijheid heb gehad als het gaat om het ontwerpen van kleding,” geeft ze toe met een verlegen glimlach. “Levi's® gaf me zoveel flexibiliteit en maakte mijn wilde ideeën werkelijkheid. Het was letterlijk magisch.” Toen ze eenmaal haar draai had gevonden, kwam de collectie vanzelf tot stand.  ## “Ik werd echt geïnspireerd door het feit dat Levi's® en ik allebei uit de buurt van San Francisco komen en ik wilde me richten op wat Noord-Californië zo speciaal maakt.”  Met een knipoog naar de legendarische sequoia's, de uitgestrekte Stille Oceaan en de hele natuurlijke wereld daartussenin, heeft de collectie aardetinten, een knusse styling en een kenmerkende bosachtige print die is geïnspireerd op de ringen van een boom. “Ik heb dat altijd zo'n fascinerend natuurlijk patroon gevonden,” legt ze uit over de print. “Het is iets moois dat de natuur zo'n bijzonder, ingewikkeld patroon creëert.”   De collectie bevat een veelzijdige jas die eruitziet als “een coole jas die je uit de kast van je vader hebt gestolen”, een colorblock trui met knoopdetails, een makkelijke spencer, een op werkkleding geïnspireerde broek, een rok met coole kleuren en natuurlijk jeans die ze heeft gemodelleerd naar haar favoriete vintage items.  Maar wat is Emma's favoriete kledingstuk uit de collectie? “Ik ben zo geobsedeerd door de rok,” zei ze enthousiast. “Hij heeft de perfecte lengte. Hij heeft de perfecte pasvorm. Hij is zo comfortabel. Dat is mijn droomrok.
