riginal posting down because it went against their guidelines. It did not, this is my honest opinion. So here it is again .
I know enough about Levi's than the average person and definitely know what waist size I am. I've owned the old 511s, current 511s, old 514s, 513s and 501 STF. All of them are are 29 waist (STF shrunk down). Never have I owned a pair of selvedge jeans so I decided to splurge and buy a pair, we can all agree they aren't cheap. Ordered a 29 waist, waited several days and they finally arrived. Put them, or tried to put them on and was sorely disappointed. I could barely hike them up to my waist and buttoning them was uncomfortable. Levi's you failed me. Decided to hop back online and figure out how to exchange them but the biggest jean company in the world doesn't have an exchange policy. They want you to return old jeans and buy new jeans online. OK, but I got old jeans on an email sale code and new jeans rang up a different price. Whatever, it was a few bucks...but Levi's deducts the shijeans so I was out of money again. Ordered a 30. Waited several days again until the new pair arrived. Well, sure enough these fit like a 30 on me, bigger than what I am used to. They also don't fit as good as my other 511s past the knee, a bit wider. Overall, I was expecting better from Levi's. Sure the quality is there but the sizing is jacked.

I have a 511 Made in USA with Cone Mills denim, that I bought RAW awhile back. Wanted to get another to keep nice and dark for "dressih of those in LVC's but I like the slim look of the 511's.
So I'm a very happy customer! Thanks Levi's!

These jeans fit very differently from the classic 511's. When I first put them on, they were slightly baggy from the knee down to the ankle, which is not tapered in the way that other 511's normally are. As a result, they simply do not look sharp like a well-fitted pair of 511's does.
Moreover, when I first put the jeans on, they were extremely style="display:none;">
